National Fuel Pass QR Code Registration 2026 – Sri Lanka Fuel Distribution Update
The Ministry of Energy has announced the reintroduction of the National Fuel Pass (QR Code) system for fuel distribution across Sri Lanka. The system became mandatory from 6.00 AM on March 15, 2026.
Important Notice: After this deadline, fuel stations will not issue fuel without a valid QR Code.
How To Get Your Fuel Pass QR Code
- Visit the official fuel pass website.
- Register your vehicle using the chassis number.
- Enter the vehicle number exactly as in the registration book.
- Verify using your mobile phone OTP.
- Download or save your QR code.
Vehicle Registration Instructions
- The chassis number must match exactly with the vehicle registration certificate.
- The chassis field is case-sensitive.
- If the number plate includes “Sri”, enter only the numbers.
- Select the correct vehicle category when registering.

Public Transport Fuel
